Farmhouse Porch-Living

We are in the middle of winter here in Oklahoma, but  you sure can't tell it with all these nice mild days we've been having.  It's put me in the mood to do a little spring cleaning and redecorating this week.  Fresh inspiration from a cool shop called Sweet Salvage on 7th Ave. and some Romantic Country magazines and I was ready to revamp my whole store!  I love to change things around and make it all different and new.  Layering items and building my displays up higher are new design tricks I'm trying to incorporate with lots of twinkling strands of light to accent everything.  I've hung clotheslines in my windows and draped vintage linens over them and secured with old-fashioned clothespins.  Such a fun look!  In one space, my theme was "Farmhouse Porch-Living" in honor of all this fine weather we're having.  I used porch furniture, wicker chairs, picnic table, slat-board tables, plant stands, lemonade/tea pitcher and glass sets, checker boards, roosters, clay pots, picnic baskets, sunflowers, pyrex containers and old thermos jugs.  Come in and take a look if you get a chance!  Lots of new and exciting items are arriving daily!

New Merchandise

Well we really cleared a lot of merchandise out over the holidays and we're getting back into the groove and getting everything all revamped.  We've hauled in 5 new loads of stuff in a week's time!  Some items we still have at the house, waiting on a warm enough day for it to get a coat of paint but we'll have it fixed up in no time and have it out for sell.  There is a lot of work that goes into making things look good.  As we are scouring the garage sales, old barns and houses, we look past the dirt and repairs and see the potential!  Just like the Lord sees past our dirt and brokeness. He doesn't throw us on the trash heap because He knows he can fix us up and make us a vessel for His use.  We wash, scrub and fix everything that comes into our shop and then display it in a setting where it shines and makes someone want to take it home.

Here are a few items we have added recently:

Chest of Drawers, $125

Chest with Hutch Top, $175
