A little junk to keep, a little junk to sell!

What fun I had Saturday evening!  I found some great treasures at a antique store that had went out of business and they were clearing out their stock and having a garage sale.  I actually picked up a 2 pickup loads at this place this week.  In this haul, I have a $5 tea cart, a $10 red primitive chicken nest cabinet, a $20 iron bed, a green shabby chic mirror and a gilded antique frame.  I could do this all day long, every day and never get tired of it!
The red cabinet is already on my front porch and the frame I dry-brushed with turquoise paint and distressed and I have it for sale in my shop.  I have plans to paint the iron bed and tea cart for my mom and the green mirror just needs some cleaning and then I'm not sure where it will end up.  Depends on what it looks like when I'm done with it.  My house is bulging at the seams right now!  Dear Lord, I sure do need that 3 story house I've been dreaming about!

Here are some of the other pieces I found at this place on Friday.  I paid $100 for this great bunkhouse/harvest table.  It was an old table bottom with a new raw wood top.  I also purchased 2 great antique oak dining chairs to use with this table for only $10 each!  I had also picked up 6 oak chairs for $50 at a garage sale earlier in the summer.  I stained the top a dark walnut color, and gave the it a couple of coats of polyurethane for protection and painted the legs cream and then distressed them and put 2 bin pull handles on the linen and silverware drawers.  It looks so great now!  I'm going to feed lots of cowboys and have huge family dinners at this table someday!  It's a KEEPER!

I also purchased these 2 charming red bentwood chairs with cane seats and a little white distressed cottage cabinet.  I won't tell you what I paid for these, since they are for sale at my shop!
